How do you know what gears you have i lost my window sticker and i dont know what the crap that sticker is telling me on the side of my door

There is a tag on the axle itself on one of the bolts for the cover.
It will have a code like 3L55 that would be a 3.55 gear limited slip unit.
another example would be 3L73 same thing with 3.73 gears. If you don't have the L you have an open unit so you will get a code like 3 73
