I think I found my axle code, it's 19. Unless I was looking at the wrong thing that is... ANyways, anyone know where I can find out more details about it?

There is a list somewhere on the forum, but a 19 is a 355 open diff.

Is the 4R100 the same as the E40D?
I read that E = E40D?

The 4R100 is an updated E4OD that replaced the E4OD with the introduction of the superduty series in mid 98.

Not 100% sure, but the one axle code I don't see listed is the one I had on my 90 F150. 3.08 open diff. Wouldn't be surprised if that is what the 18 is.

Thanks kingfish... you were right about axle code 18 being the 3.08 non-LS. Theres a site I found doing a forum search that was very helpful http://www.ford-trucks.com/article/i...r_Decoder.html
it tells what the codes on your door panel mean...
