Hello, I am new to this site. I have found some very useful information here. I was hoping that maybe I could get some help with a problem. My truck runs and shifts fine when I drive around town. When I drive on the interstate or for any distance at a maintained speed, the trans will shift hard from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd. However, if I turn the ignition off and restart the truck it will run fine until I reach that certain speed again. Had the code read and it said P1740 TCC Solenoid Inductive Signature. What does this mean? Any help will be greatly appreciated. The door jam says that the truck has a E trans.
