Trans slow to shift
I've noticed that during our colder weather that after startup and heading out of the parking lot, the transmission does not shift readily from 2 - 3. It feels like it should shift down, but only revs up more, then shifts. This does not happen in warmer weather.
Also after it warms up, there is a whine that occurs only in third gear. This again is only during cold weather, but does not go away as readily.
Thoughs...ideas...?
Thanks...Scott

Our transmissions are designed to not lock up the torque converter until they reach normal operating temp. Check to see if everything is back to normal when it reaches normal temp on the dash. If so that is probably what you are experiencing. It is more pronounced in colder weather and as the fluid gets older. If you haven’t done the transmission flush and fill for a while, it never hurts to keep it up to date.
