ok i did do a search but i couldn't find exactly what i am experiencing .... ok about a month ago my shifter started getting really sloppy but i ignored it thinking it was just the linkage needed adjusting but about a week ago i felt a shutter while driving between 30-40 ... well it gradualy is getting worse .. it doesn't do it under acceleration or decel. just and a steady pace but it also shifts hard when downshifting under accel ...like if it's overdrive and i start climbing a hill and it downshifts hard ...it starts to shift smooth and then it gives a clunk in the drivetrain ...it sorta feels like when i cracked the carrier in two in the 8.8 ...but for some reason i really feel it's the tranny because it only does it between those speeds ...i don't know if anyone can help me out with this i would apprecitate it


btw 98 f150 auto lifted 7" with 37's

Shudder can often be fixed by changing the transmission fluid. Make sure to change both the fluid in the pan and the fluid in the torque converter. A transmission flush will change both.
