Hi, I,m new to this site and just purchased a 97 F-150 x-cab, 4wd. The truck was in an accident and I believe the trans is bad. My question is, will an automatic from a car work by changing the tail piece? It is a 4r70w. If not, what other years or models will work, or am I stuck replacing it with another from a junkyard truck. Cost is a factor. Thanks
