Some one has to be dissapointed whith the travel lenght of the 5speed

Hurst is supposedly in the final fitment process for a Billet/Plus short throw shifter for the '97-'03 F-150 5-speed. Of course, they've said this now for over a year. In fact, if you search their web site you'll find a model number for our trucks, but they are not yet available. There's a bunch of us waiting for the short throw to finally make it on the market!

The last time I asked this question of Hurst, back in late December, they said they just had to do a few more fit-ups then they would be ready for production. The people I am buying mine from have been in contact with Hurst repetedly and they last thing they heard is that it should be released late in January. So much for that.

I guess Hust, and all of Mr. Gasket has has a lot of staff restructuring which has slowed things down. I don't think the shifter for our trucks is all that high on the priority list.

I wish they would HURRY UP, for cripes sake!

Well, I know for a fact that they are almost through testing and they have sent one out to a customer for fitting and trial. It looks great in the trcuk and he said it shifts awesome.
