Truck rolls in Park, truck rolls backward in Drive
I don't know if this is a tranny problem, but here it goes;
I have a '97 F150 4.6 auto. For about the past year or so, after I put the truck into Park, shut it off, and let go of the brake, depending upon the incline the truck is sitting on, the truck with roll about 2-4 inches forward and then stop. Also, just within the past 3 months, I've noticed when I'm at a stop sign on a steep hill and I'm in Drive, when I let go of the brake, the truck will roll backwards until I hit the brakes. All gears (P-R-N-D-2-1) seem to work properly and the tranny seems to shift fine. The tranny fluid is clean and doesn't have that burnt smell. I get the tranny fluid flushed about every 40k miles. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance.
