A buddy of mine has a 94 2wd 302 he is being told it has a AODE tranny what tranny will interchange with this that will be stouter he has had this one rebuilt twice and seems his boat is over working it.what parts would he need to do this and /or any ideas welcome Thanks Dave

 

He's pretty much stuck with the AODE/4R70W. Maybe he just needs a better rebuild.

 

There is definately a better rebuild option for your friend. In stead of just "rebuilding" he should inquire about "built" or "bullet-proof" options. There are plenty of aftermarket companies that offer a built tranny. Just do a "SEARCH" on 4r70w or AODE transmissions.
