Last night for fun I figured that I would check out my low 4x4 to see if it worked.. it works fine.. but, I am wondering if it is normal for it to make a clunk when it goes into 4x4 low.. 4x4 high makes no noise except for the click click.. 4x4 low kinda clukns into positions.. any other experiences?? Thanks..

 

the manual says that a small amount of clunking while engaging is normal. Low range also produces a noticable "whine" while underway. I think it is all normal as long as you are not getting a really heavy metal clunk that sounds really bad.

 

Completely normal...sometimes the un-clunk (back into 4 Hi) is much worse!
