fifth wheel hitch

2015 f 150 5 1/2 sb and 1991 prowler fifth wheel camper. I would like some advice on the best fifth wheel hitch. I have gotten several opinions but they are offering opinions on the parts they sell. I have been told several different things and am getting frustrated. I have a husky hitch that came with the camper and was told I can't use it and have to have a superglide , so I found one and purchased it only to be told it had to be a 3100 model and that I have a 4100 . Some people have said I don't need a slider and others say it has to be. Then I'm told I can use the husky and get a sidewinder but I can't find the numbers on my hitch box because it is old and file number is all it has which is not what they need . So any advice would be appreciated cause I'm just about to give it up and sell the camper !! thanks

I would not tow a 5th wheel with a 1/2 ton truck, especially one with a short bed. Not the right tool for the job, the pin weight will probably put you over max payload.

Sell the camper or trade up to a 3/4 or 1 ton truck with a long bed.
