Quick towing question
Hey Guys,
So I thought I'd ask everyone here about a towing question before I made a purchase. My truck is a 2011 FX4 SuperCrew, 5.0 with a towing package on factory 275/55/R20 wheels. I'm looking at maybe buying an 20'x8.5' enclosed trailer to haul my Ranger show-truck. The trailer has an empty weight of 3,300 lbs, and my Ranger is roughly 3,000lbs. So that a combined weight of roughly 6,300lbs. Would my truck have any issues towing that? I'm sure my fuel economy would be terrible, but I can deal with that as long as I'm not causing any harm or extra wear on the truck. Thoughts? |

Thoughts? edit...you already have a good (built in) brake controller. |
If u can find one a v nose trailer will be much less wind resistant. I agree that your truck would pull that just fine. Weight distributing hitch will more than likely be necessary as well.

6300# with a tow rating of ~9000# is no sweat.
