Love My F350

We sure love our F350 Super Duty for towing our 5th wheel, took it out this past weekend for the first time and it didn't hesitate pulling 14,000 lbs. over the VA mountains.

Interesting... great that you love your truck. Yes those 1 ton trucks are built for towing... the turbo diesel sure doesn't hurt anything either.

The diesel is great on fuel, we average 12.5 mpg on the trip which was so much better than our gas engine.

My 08 F350 6.4 3.73 CC SB only got 13 unloaded and 8 to 9 pulling my tt. My F150 gets 15 unloaded and 8 to 9 pulling the tt, only have 3k miles on it. I do miss the power and the control while towing, tt only weighs 7K#

2011

My F350 is a 2011 model, my husband and I just purchased it two months ago for pulling the 5th wheel. The control with the F350 is great and it is easy to forget its behind me when I'm driving.

Was talking to a friend of my sister's the other day - they have a 40 foot triple axle 5th wheel toyhauler that grosses at 16k. They are pulling it with a C2500 with an 8.1 gasser. Can you say 5 miles per gallon and 25 mph up mountain grades? They are kicking themselves for not getting a F-450. Only saving grace with that poor Chevy is the Allison tranny.

Wow, when we were doing our research 16,000 lbs was the limit with a F-350 which we decided wouldn't give us any wiggle room. Our 5th wheel is 12,400 dry weight so the F350 works great for us.
