towing with 35s

i will be towing about 6000k with my 03 supercrew 5.4L, 4r70, 35 inch tires, 3.73 stock gears. anything i can do to make my life and the trucks life easier? will be towing about 4000 miles.

Up your gears to 4:56's. That will make your life alot easier. I pull a 25' boat with my 05 5.4 and have 4:88's on 37's.

up your gears, add a tranny cooler if you dont have one, and a solid piece of info someone told me (mitch) not naming names, obviously dont floor it but more importantly dont drive like grandpa- accelerating slowly heats up the converter. keep the speed steady and drive normally to the set speed. the longer it takes you to get to speed the longer your trans works hard and heats up. and the last obvious, change your fluids before.

What is the converter?

might have spelled it wrong but torque converter is what i meant.

Highly recommend something to monitor transmission temperatures. I agree with 4.56 gears, but that's about $1200-1500 installed.

Yeah gears are what I would like to do...also with a temp monitor...what is "high temps"...also I have the stock tranny cooler...should I add a efan to it?
