Tie Down points on a Mustang

I am going to be towing my Mustang on a flatbed trailer this weekend. As far as tie down points I was going to use:

2 tie downs forming an "X" going to the tubular K-Member on my mustang in the front.

2 tiedowns in the rear running parallel to the trailer going around my axle. One on each side.

Sound good? :lurk:

Sounds good to me, just remeber to check/tighten everything after 10-15 miles. I have towed trucks/cars 20+ times in the last 18 months and have never had a problem with this menthod

Forgot to add if your using straps wrap a towel or something over any possible sharp edges. I once found that near the end of my 300 mi trip I had lost 2 straps from a crossmember edge that wasnt as smooth as it looked. Just from the slight movment of the car it cut through both straps and only the rear straps, parking brake and trans were holding the car on the trailer:eek:

Yeah, I have to keep an eye on it.
