Back-Up Camera Father's day present
I received one of those back-up cameras for a Father's Day present---took less than 20 minutes to install; it works very nicely. It comes with wedge-shaped plastic shimmies so that you can angle the camera to the point that you want it.
Backing up to a trailer is much, much easier. Tim C. |
Happy Fathers day to you.
What camera did you get? I installed the VR-3 backup camera a few weeks ago and they sure do make backing up to a trailer a breeze. The price was great and the installation is simple. I did complicate matters a little by connecting the camera to a four way trailer connector so I could easily move it to the back of the camper after the ball connection was made. But even with that being done the installation was easy and took no time at all. I have to admit I first looked into a pioneer head with a display monitor and camera addition but the $1000 price range did not fit my budget right now. For the money and the time I have invested the simple VR-3 works great for me (for now). |
I saw some at Costco a few months ago for ~$80ea, and they were wireless. I'm still kicking myself for not snagging a few - they're not in stock any more.

I have the Boyo VTL 300 license plate camera which seems to work pretty well

Mine too is wireless---the interesting thing is when you drive by a Convenient Food Mart of 7-11 that it picks up the camera signals from the security cameras in the store. Even picks up home security stuff, as well. But I like it and it has been a big help.
