I have an 05 STX and installed the Hoppy brake controller and did the quick hook up, Plug and play because i have the tow package. The problem is that when i touch the brake, enough for the brake lights to go on, the trailer brakes engauge to the preset amount on the controller. The truck adn trailer brakes are not working together instead the trailer is always stopping me. any help.

 

You need to locate the synchronization adjustment on the brake contoller and set it to where it's comfortable for you. Check your controller's owner's manual.
