Question 5'er for '04 F150 SC

Anyone out there have any manufacturer/model recommendations for a nice small 5th wheel to match to this truck? (Triton V8 with Two Package)

I'm looking for something new to 3 years old.

It doesn't need a lot of bells and whistles - slides would be nice but I can live without them.

I'm not looking for something cheap - just something comfortable and easy to handle with the F150.

I pull an 18 ' travel trailer with my F250's and I own a 32' Class A Seabreeze.

Thought we might switch with the Class A or the TT for a 5'er if we can find a fit.

Thanks, Ken

Ken,

I just picked up an '03 Trail Wind (Trail Bay) by R-Vision. It has two slides and has a dry weight of 6700 lbs. GVWR is just over 8000 lbs. I pulled it home two days ago and was pleased with the way the truck handled. This is my first fifth wheel, so I was a little apprehensive. I have an '04 supercab, 5.4, 3.73, 4X4, with tow package. While shopping, I saw an Outback fifth wheel that was extremely nice and under 7000 lbs.

Before we settled on our Outback travel trailer, I was toying with the prospect of a 5er. About the lightest one I found in the size range we wanted was a Flaggstaff 28BHS. If you don't need bunks for kids, the possiblities are greater.

Thumbs up Outbackers - Great site

Sidewinder - Thanks for the tip on Outbackers.com. Great site and lots of info.

The Outback line looks like a fit for the F150.

Thanks, Ken
