Need voice from Google Maps on my iPhone 6

My phone won't make any sound when it is synced to my f150 truck when I am connected to google maps. It is a 2017 f150 without navigation or backup camera etc but we have synced our iPhone 6's to the truck to talk, text etc.

You need to be running the phone through the media function for the navigation voice over. I have Sirius streaming for this reason. For an additional $5/month I can have radio and navigation voice over while traveling in unfamiliar areas. If you have an extensive music library you can also use this with the nav voice over on the media function.
