What kind of mpg are is your raptor getting?

Just out of curiousity, what's your mpg?

BuckeyeChuck 02-09-2010 11:27 AM

I guess no one is willing to tell. I get around 15mpg on the highway with my 2007 f150 supercab 5.4 3 valve with 3.73 gears. Hope that helps.

I was just curious if they are getting what the window sticker claimed of 14/18. I guess it's a big secret........

Um well.... maybe its the fact that there aren't many people on the site that have a Raptor, I'm just saying. I mean I have only seen 1 on the road, how many do you think are on here?

well i just picked up mine a few days ago and I can tell im getting less mpg then i did with my 99 f150, didnt seem to be to bad on gas at first but I wasnt tracking on the big ass gas tank that thing has, I just put a AFE cold air intake on it so will see if that helps at all.

That thing looks awesome man. Love the interior two tone. Have fun with it

how's it do in the snow

michiganmachete 02-11-2010 02:28 PM

My display is showing 14-16 mpg (on 87 octane) depending on how much i drive in the city. Ive got about 9000 miles on my Raptor already!

TJRaptor 02-11-2010 07:34 PM

its is crazy good in the snow, like way better then i could have ever though, i cant even drift around ice corners if i try thats how good it is.

i got 2000 miles on my raptor so far.

im in high elevation, about 6000 above sea level, so it will vary depending where you live.

when i was in california, my old 2005 F150 was getting about 19 to 20mpg on the highway...when i moved out to cheyenne, i only but got 14mpg..maybe 15mpg..

i get the same with my raptor, but maybe 13 to 14mpg...at this elevation, so comparing it to my old truck, i should relatively get the same MPG out in cali. So yes, after breaking in my engine, i think the MPG is on point depending on location.

I just hit 1000 miles on mine a few days ago. I have a picture on my phone where I was getting 21+mpg on the highway. If I go 65-70mph I get 20+ unless there a lot of hills. Around town 12-16mpg. Have to be light on the peddle though. Different tires might help. I'm getting a CAI soon which might help a little. Great truck so far.

TJRaptor 03-28-2010 11:58 AM

im not to sure but im getting some not so great mpg on this thing, its just over 2000 miles on it and im avraging about 12 mpg, any ideads? And no im not driving it like a dumbass!

I just picked up a 6.2 yesterday. Rolled off the truck with 24 miles on truck and display read 6.1. After I rest and drove another 25 or so it says 8.6. I am sure it will come up some once the engine breaks in but I would guess it will be about 10/11 city and 12/13 hwy on average. If it turns out to be better that would just be a bonus.

I would have thought it would turn out a little better than that. I get around 10 city / 12 highway on my F-250 6.8L with 4.30 rear end.
