4WD Suspension ?

OK guys, this is going to sound odd, but when I was helping my brother change his oil this weekend on his 97 4x4 4.6 FS I did not see any front coil springs. I did not know the 4x4's didn't have front springs. How is the front of the truck supported? Stupid ? I know, but my old Bronco had front springs, I assumed they all do.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

John

The torsion bars hold up the front end.

thats because your old bronco most likely had a twin i-beam front end which came with coil springs.

Thanks

Guys,

Thanks for answering my question. At least now I know I'm not crazy. Just didn't know the technology changed that much.
