Pitmen arm and idler arm question.

I had my truck aligned today after installing a 4" Rancho kit, and the guy told my that I need to get a drop Pitmen arm and idler arm to increase the stabilaty of the truck. My question is this: Have any of you with this setup done this, and how important is it? If so, where can I get one, and for how much?

Any help and info is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I'll take a stab at this but I could be way off base and someone correct me if I am wrong.

The rancho kits should keep your steering geometrey inline with that of the factories. It sounds like the alignment guy was smokin too much crack and is thinking of your older setups with solid front ends or Ford I-beams.

Think about it. Didn't the Rancho kit come with new spindles that actually provide the lift? If so then Rancho should have engineered their spindles to keep that tie rod end in the same location as the OE stuff.

It's late, so I might be dreaming again, so if I am wrong just shoot me.
