Shocks for 2WD

I know everyone seems to be pretty impressed with the Rancho RS9000's and the Edelbrock IAS's. From what I've seen though, it seems like about 80% of yall have 4x4's. I have a 2WD STX, and I'm more interested in on-road perfomance and quality of ride. What would yall recommend? Should I consider replacing them with what came stock? What would be best? TIA guys....

STX/98-

2WDs get similar benefits. The RS 9000s can be adjusted for a very smooth "on road" ride. They can also be firmed up for towing or handling. Either way, you have choice. I have a complete set of the factory Heavy Duty shocks off of my truck with under 1000 miles on them. I guess I should put these in the classifieds for someone with an older truck on a budget.

I purchased the Rancho RS5000's. I have been very pleased with the ride and handling of the RS5000's. Cost - $35 each from Advance Auto Parts. The RS5000's carry a lifetime warranty.
