Question another "shocking" question

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I'm going to give it one more go. I've been researching shocks to replace the stockers in my '01 S/C (saw and read the recent thread on the RSX with much interest) and have narrowed it down to three and would like opinions/suggestions.

1. Rancho RSX
2. Trailmaster SSV
3. Edelbrock IAS (these darn model names are dizzying).

Let me begin by saying I do not do serious off road stuff. Lots of hunting/fishing gotten to on fairly decent trails. Only twice in the last few years have I ventured into a place that I could call hardcore off road. Like many people, the truck will see 75% highway use for commuting.

First off, the Edlebrocks are by far the most expensive but also the ones that seem to have the most "road test" reports available in just doing a few quick searches. Seems they get high praise from every mag editor that tried them. I'm sure Edelbrock also spend the most $$ in advertising dollars too so I don't know how much credence can be given to those reviews. Anyone out there able to lend some real first hand feedback on these? Are they really worth almost twice as much as the Rancho or Trailmaster?

I've seen many good reviews and opinions here on the RSX and right now are at the top of the short list. Reasonably priced and plenty of real people giving first hand reviews...so far all favorable. Do they do a good job of keeping that front end diving in on turns? Is the ride quality noticeabley better than stock.

Lastly, the SSV Trailmaster...anyone here use em'? opinions?

Sorry for the longwinded post..wanted to give some background on my driving to go along with the questions.

Thanks,

Natty

I highly recommend the Edelbock's!

They are only $20 more than the Rancho RSX/Monroe Reflex.

$70 for the Edelbrock

$50-$60 for the Rancho
