Steering stabilizer

Okay so I have an 03 f150 and Id like to put daul steering stabilizers on it. I only have a 2.5 leveling lift kit and a 3 inch body lift and 35 inch tires. I see they make them but they are replacements for trucks with a 6 inch lift and steering stabilizers already there. I'd like to add daul ones on but don't know if they will hook up right any one got any input ?

Anybody have any information ?

I had a single Pro Comp steering stabilizer on my old 2001 Supercrew. Mine had a mount that bolted onto the lower control arm bolt. Instead of this, I purchased a bolt and bolted it to an existing hole in the frame near this location. I may have some pics in my gallery. Most people believe that a single, quality stabilizer is better than two price point stabilizer.

Well I was old to go with dual because I have 35's on my truck. And with my lift it doesn't show a steering stabilizer that will hook up I don't believe

You just need to find a stabilizer that works on a stock, non-lifted truck since you technically don't have a lift kit.

However, I agree with wandell. A single stabilizer would suffice, the difference between a dual and a single on a ifs truck would hardly be noticeable.

Yeah. I can find a single that will fit perfectly I'm just worried because the shops all say a daul for 35's and up yanno ?

That more or less only holds true for solid axle front suspensions. Stabilizers don't make that much of a difference on a truck with ifs front suspension.

Ohh really ?? I wasn't aware

I drove my 02 fx4 with a 6" lift and no stabilizer for 4 years and never really noticed any steering wheel shake. I took it in for an alignment and i had a "tie rod end" shot according to the shop. (It actually ended up being the pitman arm on the steering).
Anyways, i put a steering stabilizer (fabtech) on before the new arm arrived and never did notice a difference.

Not really worth it for even a single IMO, but for the $75 or whatever it cost, it was worth the extra piece of mind.

That said, ive never seen dual stabilizers for an ifs F150

They make the dauls for the skyjacker 6 inch lift. Actually comes stock with the lift. But okay. I don't really notice anything besides when I go over some really hard bumps and you get the common jerk of the steering wheel. Thanks again
