Name that Lift Kit w/Pic

Hi Folks,

I just bought a 2004 FX4 with 6" lift, and I have no idea what brand it is? The guy I bought it from was the second owner, and had no information to give me on the lift kit, but it does have Rancho rear shocks.

I am thinking about replacing the front stock shocks with +6 shocks. What are my options? I have heard people have installed the Raptor Fox shocks on standard F150s, but not sure it there are installation issues.

This is my weekend driver, and I plan to off-road in sand dunes and rocky desert terrain. I also will tow a trailer with ATVs on occasion. Just put 35x12.5x17 Toyo MTs on it

Any information is appreciated!

No problem! There is also a production number stamped on the knuckle/spindle on the portion that connects to the upper control arm ball joint.

I'm also interested in hearing some opinions on stock shock swaps. (say that 5 times fast) I've heard that the Icon's are pretty bad a$$ but they're pricey. I wonder if we can get Rancho to chime in on this. Do they offer a similar product?

I don't need the best shocks, but I would like something rebuildable and coilover if I'm going to spend the money. I want to make the most out of the 6" lift and remove the spacers on the front shocks.

I am considering these from RaceRunner:

RaceRunner Front Bolt in Coil Overs & Rear Shocks
Ford Year Coil Length Coil Rate Shaft Dia. Size Reservoir Type Part # MSRP

F150 4x4 04-Current Extended Version For 6" Dropbracket Lift 7/8" 2.5" Internal 56000-1504-6 $633.00ea

Anyone have any information/experience with RaceRunner?
