Adding 1" to RCX

04 f150 fx4 6" Rough country

So i have the 6" rough country, 6" 5100 bilsteins on 35's. I got the 1" daystar budget boost and a 1.5" AAL for the rear waiting to install. Just wondering if it's safe to add, I know RCX only drops down 5" so anything over 1" is a no go but should i have any problems with 1"? The truck mostly stays on pavement, sees offroad maybe a few times a month. heres the angles now at 6", should i be ok adding on?

I think you'll be fine, but you can always test fit a side to see if the angles are to your liking.

From what I can tell it should be just like putting it on a stock truck. The RCX kit that you got has a larger spindle so it allows your upper arm to stay at close to the stock angle.

He is not at stock angles. And it's the drop down crossmember that's limiting the angles here, not the spindle. If the size of the drop down crossmember is the same as the amount of lift then it puts him at around stock angles. But his kit doesn't give the full amount of drop down.

yessir if my angles were stock that CV axle would be parallel to the ground. Rcx drops down 5" but lifts 6"

Your CV and ball joint angles look fine now. Why don't you slide a jack under the truck and carefully lift the truck one inch and see what they look like then?

I'd look into a body lift then. You can't get another 2" out of the rcx lifts and keep proper angles.

The bilstein 5100's for the 04+ come in 0-2.5" and 4-6" so he's using all of the lift that the bilsteins can give with the 4-6" ones.

I think you will be ok, if the spacer yields 1" like advertised then you are set to go

not right now, it's more of a planning ahead kind of thing. my 35's still have plenty of tread but i plan on getting 37's once these wear down, after i regear so the extra 1" will help.
