97-03 F150 Installed Belltech 2' Drop Shackles

I recently installed the Belltech 2' drop shackles on my 2002 f150 ext cab & it seems to be lower on the passenger side bed, which is awfully wierd because it would make sense for the drivers to be lower since gas tank is on the drivers side. if anyone has any suggestions id appreciate it thanks

also would like to add that the bed is missing two bolts?? might that be the problem

your leaf springs could be the problem, they're probably worn out on a 10 year old truck

most times yes, just check your pinion angle, if its within tolerance then you are good. I didn't have to add shims when I put mine in, no issues after 3 1/2 yrs.

:beers:Thanks, yes it doesn't vibrate so ill see how it goes

Good luck. When I installed mine I took measurements before/after install and the rear is still 1/4" taller than the front but its close enough to level for me.

The 97-03 trucks shouldn't need a shim when using shackles. I would also suggest what has already been mentioned above. Also make sure you tighten the shackle bolts when the truck is on the ground on in the air (on stands)

Ford has always sat lower on the passenger side than the driver's. The lower the trucks static height the more pronounced it shows.
