Question Help with setup...

Hey guys, I've been searching the last week or so and learned a lot. I just got an 05 F150 XLT. Everything is stock as of now. I'm looking to do a 2"-3" lift and maintain a little rake, with 285/75/17 tires on stock rims (for now.) I'm in it mostly for looks and a stable ride quality (not really gonna off-road much)

I'm not a fan of the spacers/AS kits, so this is what I was thinking:

Front: Bilstein 5100's set to 2" notch
Rear: Bilstein 5100's + 2" Add-a-leaf

Questions:
Will the rear bilsteins give my stock ride a lift (without the AAL?)
If so, how much?

Will this tire size work well with this set-up? ie: no rubbing, spacing issues.

What are some good online sites to buy from, or socal - San Diego stores?

What are some good brands for AALs?

Any info is much appreciated and I'm open to other suggestions too!

Thanks

The rear bilsteins won't give you any lift, and with that combo you should maintain around the factory rake if that's what your going for.

You shouldn't have any rubbing issues, but you failed to mention whether 4x4 or 4x2.

I'd order from wherever is cheapest honestly, if your not going to do the install yourself though some shops will give you a small break on the price if you buy from them and have them install it too.

For aal's all are basically the same, short leafs are cheaper and easier to install, long leafs are more expensive but provide better ride quality and don't ride as stiff.

^ I agree.

If you do not tow, go with a slightly larger rear block to keep your ride quality while keeping your rake.

Thanks for the info! Yeah I forgot to mention that it's 2wd. How does that affect things?

Less clearance since 2" for you is like stock height for a 4x4. The only rubbing I can think of is possibly going to be on the frame at full lock or the upper control arm while making sharp turns depending on how aggressive your tires are.
