I picked up some deavers, fox 3.0x18" triples and Camburg shackles. Plan is to do a bed cage that I can utilize for a while. See how it goes and work on some other things it has been needing

so a little update, took the shark to the snow and had a fun time up there. finally fixed the vacuum line that was holding up my on the fly 4x4, painted the mesh I put behind the skidplate so the teeth pop out more, and got some of the order I made to camburg! fox 3.0x18" triples. hopefully more comes sooner than later so I can actually get this thing going in the rear! oh also I bought a 07 gsxr 750 so I can have transportation while this thing is down. pretty sweet bike and definitely a blast to ride! I want to have the cage and bedcage started by spring break so thats my plan. we will see how things work out but it's looking promising!

so I know phil6608 has the built jlp motor with the big kenne bell on there, and last I read he was pushing 500 to the wheels with the 4r70w without his 4x4. anyone have any insight as to how much power I can expect to the wheels with that same block, stage 3 cam, nice heads and with either the bigger kenne bell or say a turbo? obviously there is a lot of variables with this but the point is I want to know which would be better in a sense. we can fab anything to a point and I would loveee a turbo in my truck but if its way easier to run the bell then I will. I want to legitimately be in the 500-600 range to the wheels with 4x4 4.88s and 37s. do I have a reasonable shot at this with making it somewhat reliable?

ps this is sweet ha +1 to whoever threw this in the side panel!

Well bad day. Found two problems. Water in my oil and a small crack on the passenger side shock tower. Kind of glad that it happened now where I caught it somewhat premature. Now that I have the bike I think its time to pull the motor price out parts and hopefully swap to 4v. It'll be an awesome time to also cage and really finish it the right way. It was my dd so I had to always quick fix things and never kept it to the quality I know I want. If I'm lucky I'll be able to have it running and screaming by end of summer. Maybe even throw a kenne bell or swap in a turbo. We'll see but until then the shark is out of commission.

How is the drive-ability of the truck with the DBR kit? Does that extra 4.5" per side make it a PITA for Daily Driving, Parking, ECT..?

eh its not too bad honestly. obviously its not like a stock truck so the turning radius is a tad bit hindered but I can make u turns and such and park just like anybody else. you get used to it. down the road is actually better to be honest. freeway is better the ride quality is just better. its smooth and transitions just fine.
