Well to solve it, yes. The rack definitely made a difference as well. I still think the U-joint under the dash is worn so I will have the column looked at down the road. Right now, I'm content.

U simply had poor alignment shop symptoms. Tis a lesson for all of us. Partial UR front alignment repairs was UR biggest error. I had somewhat a same symptom with a recall replacing my lower ball joints. Immediately having problems with drivability. OF course I had to do the tops at my cost. 100,000 miles on the truck and factory wanting to replace the lowers but not the toppers caused me grief. It drove great before they messed with it.
