8" and 37's

I have seen a few of the trucks in the photo gallery with 8" clearing 37's. Does any of them have a problem with them rubbing? Thurday this week I am installing a 6" Fabtech kit on my 2005 F150. I already have the leveling kit and plan to use it as well. Totaling 8" up front. for the back I am doing an add-a-leaf and the Fabtech supplied block. should be somewhere around 6". I chose to run 37x13.5x22 Toyo MT's on 22x10 Mazzi Hulks. I am also installing 4.88 gears to help with pulling my airboat.

Will I have any clearance issues? Any thoughts on the set up? The truck will never be in the mud and rarely off road. Just want to pull my boat and look good doing it.

Thanks for any advice or input in this tread.

You prolly will rub some with that wheel

Big_Smokey Jun 20, 2011 07:14 AM

id say with a 10" wide wheel and a 13.50 you will have some rubbage. may not be much though

Ok, How do I fix it? A body lift?

I saw one in the photo gallery with the same tire/rims and the 8" Rize kit. I wonder if he would comment. I'll try to find his name. The truck is solid black.

The 8" Rize on 37s clear with no problems.

As they say go big or go home

Just go with a 12" Rize and 40s, you will love it..... I have a Brand New in Box 12" Rize kit for sale, if your interested :rocker:

You will be fine. I had 8.5" with 22x11's and 37x13.5's with no rubbing. Only place you may have to trim is the lower front valance corner.

I didn't rub at all with a 6inch kit and cranked coil-overs for normal street driving. When I took the truck off-road or up a steep driveway's while turning, I had major tire bite.

I think you will clear it...I just put the 6" procomp stage 1 kit on and decided to upgrade to the procomp coilovers as I wanted to add a winch bumper and winch. I cranked them up a bit and now am going to have to add an add-a-leaf to get it back to level...You might have to trim a little bit, just go with 37x12.50 and you will be fine...

I'm against 37x12.5's. They look to skinny.

if my gallery works, check my pics, I have exactly what you will have, I did some trimming and it does rub but under like full turn backing up etc, have no fear and its a great stance!

If I make a sharp right or left going over a bump or say something curb height I rub a little. I have an 8" rize on 37's

Been there done that and moved on to bigger and better things (16" Lifted Raptor on 40s). NEVER had an issue with mine lock to lock over BIG bump etc....
