Front end???

i was wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows what the problem may be... i have an 06 f150, and in the past month or two it's made a noise in the front end a couple of times and it has kind of felt like something grabs or drags. it seems to do it most often while i'm turning at slow speeds and also when slowing down. the first time it was kind of a metal on metal sound and i just thought maybe there was a rock or something in the rotor, but the last couple of times it's been kind of a mix between a clunk and a grind. any help or ideas would be appreciated. thanks!!

Make sure caliber bolts are good and tight. I would also check for play in the hub. Does not sound like a CV joint (not sure if even 4x4).

Also forgot to mention sometimes semi-metallic pads may have a larger metallic "flake" in the pad that once exposed may cause temporary noise until worn through.

ok thanks. thats's the first thing that came to mind was the caliper. yeah it is 4x4. i had ceramic brake pads put on about 6 months or so ago and also wondered if that may be a possible cause. i'll check the caliper bolts tho. thanks again.
