09 fx4 lift question?
Anyone know if i can fit 35 12.5 procomp xtreme all terrain on a 20" rim with a leveling kit or do i need a 4 inch lift? was looking at the rancho quick lift but really want theses tires and am not sure if they would fit thanks

Yes, you can fit 35x12.50's with a leveling kit on a 4x4, but the rim specs have to be perfect. You can use the OEM 20x8.5's or and aftermarket 20x8 with 5.5 to 6 inches of backspacing. Even then it is an extremely tight fit and they will rub the control arms at full steering lock.

the tires measure 34.6" tall is this what makes them tight to the control arms or is it the width? would a 33" have more room?
its a combo of both, you would be fine with a 33 or maybe a tire with less width in a 35
Right. It's a combination of the tires height and width as well as the wheel. Personally, I'd stick with 33's.

ok so would 275/65/20 or 285/65/20 be ok or should i stickwith a 305/55 20? what backspacing would be necessary with a 20x9 wheel?
I think you can fit either three of those tires with a 9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing. Keep in mind that I am guessing since the first two sizes are kinda odd.
how would 305 55 20 fit with a 20x9 wheel with either 4.5 or 5.7 in backspacing think theyre 18mm offset? would they stick out much?
I've got some 35" toyos on my leveled 2010 fx4, they fit with little trimming. I have a 2.5" kit and the rims are 20mm offset and are a 20x9". I have some pics in my album.
