How to fit 35's?

Hey guys I'm gonna be getting some 35's in the spring I have an 01 4x4 with a 3 inch body lift and I was wondering if I could crank the torsion bars and put a 2 inch shackle or block lift in the back or should I just crank the torsion bars and not spend the money on the rear lift??

I'd suggest just cranking up the torsion bars enough to level the truck. That's what I did.

How much lift can I get from doing that and will it affect my ride quality? Thanks for the info guys

you can fit the 35's that way
but my buddy did the same to his truck ride quality got rough

the more you crank them, the rougher the ride.

Would it help if I got the aftermarket torsion keys or is it just a waste of money??

str8t six Nov 14, 2010 03:29 PM

dont get them. they allow you to put too much of an angle on you CV's

Yea use the stock wheels tho or you'll have to do a pretty good amount of trimming.

There is a chance that it could throw the alignment out, but tires are expensive and you don't wanna risk new tires wearing weird so def get an alignment after you crank em.

you will need an alignment...
