3" bl and 37's
 

I've been looking at getting an 04+ f150 4x4, and I know that with a leveling kit you can fit 35's on these, but ive been wondering if you fit 37's with a 3" body lift? IT would make sense that you could, but I havent seen it done. IF you can does anyone have any pictures of it?

You can't and even if you could those tires would be stuffed in the wells.

yeah i don't really see how it makes sense that it would. with 35's on Stock wheels it rubs at full lock and with most aftermarket wheels it rubs very badly. you need at least an 8in. lift to run 37's properly.

I did'nt think you could because I've never seen it or heard about it, but I just don't understand why it wouldnt work. If you can fit 35's with a leveling kit, why not add a 3" bl and put 37's? I don't understand how that wouldnt work, so if someone could explain that wouldbe great.

Prolly with stock wheels and a skinny 37/12.5 A/T tire it could be done.

You wouldnt be able to turn them.. they would run into the wheel wells. Maybe if you got some fiberglass "pre-runner" fenders and took out the inner wheels then maybe you could pull it off. But that would be torture to your stock front end.

RIght. 35's are rubbing using the OEM wheel. So adding a taller tire will make the rubbing much worse. A wider wheel with less backspacing will kick the tire outward but then it wil be rubbing the bumper and fenders.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. It worked on my 2002 king ranch. I will post up some pics later. I ran 37x12.5 all terrains on my stock rims with aftermarket torsion keys and a 3" body for about 2 years. They only rubbed a little on the frame at full turn, but i knew how far i could turn before they did and just didn't crank the wheel full turn. If you are trying to offroad it regularly then i wouldn't go with the 37's. But when i had that setup the truck was a street queen cause it was my first vehicle that cost me over $20,000 and i wasn't about to mess it up.

the 37s are bigger then the wheel well it wont ever work.......unless u sawzall ur wheelwells??

its all about wheels specs , people with 6" lifts rub with 35's b/c the backspacing on the rims push out the wheels, so they rub on the plastic and such

to be safe you should go with the 35's but 37's will fit. I fit them with no trimming at all. yes the ride was not that great and the tires were inches from touching the front bumper valence when turned, but they fit.

Finally dug up some old pics of the truck with 3" body and level kit via torsion bar keys and 37"x12.5 BF all terrains.

They might look smaller than 37"s in the pic but my 4wheeler has 3" lift and those are 30" tires on my 4wheeler.

I know a member on here, jnic24 I think is his name, ran a 37 with just a 3" level and 3" bl with no rubbing but the tire wasn't a true 37. They actually measured 36.4". 37's are NOT bigger than the wheel well. A member on here has a picture in his album of his 38's stuffed completely into his wheel well. They actually measure 37.75" but appear to not even touch the fender.
