35" tires rubbing on a procomp 6" Need advice.

I had just installed a 6inch procomp lift and it rubs when i make a slight sharp turn. mostly when parking. I have 35 inch bfgoorich tires and it rubs on both front tires towards the back of the fairing.on the inside. Need some tips on how i can stop rubbing.

I would say it's because you have a wheel with too low of an offset/ too little backspacing.

You can stop the rubbing by changing the wheels, adding a little more lift or trimming the back of the fender wells.

Just get in there with a sawzall and trim the plastic. Nobody will ever notice.

That's really only equivelent to 5" bs on a 10" wide wheel. Seems odd to me that it is rubbing. Are you runnng 35x12.5's? Is your truck 2wd? If you have a wider tire then that could be why. If you're truck is not 4wd then that is a very god reason why.

The best way to solve it is to bump your truck up a little more to like 7 or 8". The cheapest way to do it do a little trimming with a dremel or other cutting tool. Take a look at my photo gallery in my album of my truck at 2 months. I was running 35x12.5's on an wheel equivelent to an 10" wide with 6" bs so they were sitting in 1" further than your set-up. I trimmed my way out of rubbing with just a 2" leveling kit. You can see pictures of the exact trimming I did in there.

If you want an alternative to trimming then get yourself a set of adjustable Bilstein struts that you can set to either 1" or 2" of additional lift. That and getyourself a larger block for the rear and remove the stacked blocks that ProComp supplies. All that together should cost you somewhere around $500-$600 w/o labor.

Those are the exact same places i may need cutting. I will try that. LIfting it some more is going to be costly.

you don't need a sawzall. All the plastic trim pieces cut really easily with tin snips
