How do i fit 38's?

i have a 2004 sup cab witht the procomp stage 2 suspension lift. i also got a 2" aal. like the title says what do i got to to do to fit 38's.

Theres a couple ways, you could either crank you coilovers 2", You might be able to get 38's doing that, or you could add a body lift. Them are really your only two options.

Crank up the coilovers and add a body lift.

Depending on what you're doing (what you drive through - or over) Id do the body lift first (purely for your front suspension's angles) and see how you like that. You can definitely fit 38s with a BL and a 6" Susp. but if you want more height later you can crank up the coilovers.

Or you can do like IOR said and probly just crank it up up front and see if they fit... if they barely do and they just rub, go to a medical supply store and get some EMT shearers, they cut plastic fenders nicely

Go with a body lift and you will be able to fit them

body lift= fit for sure

cranked coilovers/aal or lift shackle= fit with a high offset wheel and the right width tire

i think i will go with the BL how hard are they to put on. Also i think im gonna go with a new leaf pack. maybe either a six or eight inch leafs

dilloncawthon Jan 22, 2010 11:01 AM

yep like they said bl. i have a bl and 6in. suspension and 38's

from what i've heard they aren't so much hard to put on just very time consuming and a pain.

IORf150 Jan 22, 2010 11:49 AM

^^^^^X2 if your gonna do it yourself, just dont make any plans for a couple days. haha

johnbaughman85 Jan 22, 2010 12:57 PM

i like doing things myself. i put my suspension lift on. Is it to much harder than that. How much do you think it would cost to have someone do it.

IORf150 Jan 22, 2010 02:59 PM

On our body styles they are very expensive to get put on, I was charged almost a $1000 just to put the lift on. Its not that its real hard to do, its just theres a lot of labor involved.

IORf150 Jan 22, 2010 03:00 PM

It helps if ya get a couple buddies that could help ya and it shouldn'tbe that bad.

mhockey9090 Jan 22, 2010 04:02 PM

Yeah its just time consuming not necessarily hard. Some parts will give yah trouble but it should take a good weekend with atleast one other person
