Rear Blocks

Anyone know a good place to order rear blocks for a 05 2wd?
Any precautions?

after market. I have a 2wd with a 6" lift and 2" level.
Do you think i will need to remove the skyjacker aal or keep it on and run the block?
Tuff country makes a 5" is that too much? Will my ride quality greatly depreciate? Re-gearing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

What lift do you have and what size lift block did your kit come with? My RCD kit came with a 5" block, but the installer had 6" blocks in his stock, so he installed them for me to level my truck out. The block will help keep your factory ride, but some are concerned about axle wrap\wheel hop issues with tall blocks. I bought into the concern (since I tow often) and bought\installed traction bars so I wouldn't have to worry about it. 5 years\45K miles later and I'm still quite happy with my set up.

I'm confused. What do you currently have in the back. If you're talking about stacking blocks- I cannot recommend that. If you're looking to level out the truck, then a 5" block + 2" AAL should work nicely. If you look in my pics, my older ones show a 6" (5" rear block), coilovers cranked a tiny bit, and a 1.5" AAL. That should give you a rough idea of what you'd be looking at. I think having the back a little higher on a lifted truck looks a hell of a lot better than sitting bulldogged.

You're going to have a stiffer ride...but that's the name of the game. It's a truck, not a cadillac. It's not bad though by any means.

Re-gearing will only come into play when you start looking at tires. I'm running 3.73 with my 35's and a programmer and am happy with my power. When I put the 40's on in a few days, I will look at getting gears. Do you know what gears you have? What size tire are you wanting to run?

I have the skyjacker 6" now with a 2" level up front.
I talked to a mechanic at a local 4x4 shop, hes done this a few times. a 3" block on a 2wd (which is blockless) and the aal levels it right up. so i ordered the blocks and 10" u-bolts and it came out to be like 100 bucks.
Thanks alot everyone for the information....Body lift is next

Sounds good. I still don't understand what you currently have installed for your 6" lift in the rear now?
