A shock question?
It refers to adjusting preload, which can change your ride height. This is not something you can do with OEM coilovers. Many aftermarket coilovers provide this capability. However, I see that you have a 2001, if its 4x4 then you do not have coil overs but torsion bars instead. You can "crank" those, to do so there is a cross memeber under the truck where one end of each bar connects. There are key ways in there that has a bold that can be tightend to raise your ride height. If you do this you need an alignment afterward.
