Least Lift for 35's

Hi, I've got a '90 f150 4x4. Everywhere I look says that you need 6" of lift to put 35's on my truck, but that seems like alot. Right now im running 33's and it's bone stock with only minor rubbing at full lock. Has anyone put 35's on their pre-'97 truck with less than 6" of lift? It looks like I theyd fit with a 4" lift or even less.

you dont need a six inch kit to kit 35s. im not to familiar with your year truck but i know a 3 inch body will do it and/or a spindle kit. heres a website that has 2.5, 4, and 6 inch kits for your truck that are cheap www.suspensionconnection.com

you can not do a spindle lift on a 4x4...i think with your body style your probably looking at a 6" suspension lift..you are going to pay almost the same for a 4" lift as you would a 6" lift...not sure you might be able to get away with just a 3" body lift too..
