Pics of anyone with leveling kit on 97-03 ford f150's
Im considering buying a leveling kit for my 98 ford f150 lariat. I use to be always on this site looking and reading. But i havent been able to get on here lately and read and learn haha. but im looking for pictures of 97-03 body style trucks with the 2 or 3 inch leveling kits. im running 285/75/16s right now. so show me your pics !

If you mean for a 4x4, mines just got the torsion bars turned up for about 2 inches running 305's on 16x10 wheels. Just turn the bars its so much cheaper

DO NOT BUY THE LEVELING KIT!!! Im sure many more will tell you the same. Its a 100% rip off. You can achieve a level stance by cranking your torsion bars. If you install the new keys ("leveling kit") you will put WAY too much stress on your front suspension and will have to replace suspension parts regularly. So, for free, crank your torsion bars to level and go get an alignment and your all set.

with my truck i maxed the torsion bars out i got around 4 inches in the front.

I agree. Also, each truck seems to have the preload set differently, so there is no clearcut answer to how many turns it will take to level out the truck. |
^^ Wandell is correct...as always. The most important thing to keep in mind when cranking them is to mark the bolt head so you are sure you turn them both the same amount of turns.
From where they are at now, just start by turning the bolts in half way or a bit more. Then go drive around the block(ive noticed that helps set the trucks actual hieght) and come back and take look at where you're sitting. If you like it...you're done, if not, go some more. |

Nice 4 year bump.. And considering there's multiple trucks posted in this thread it's hard to answer your question without knowing which one your referring too.
