Procomp AAL's installed!

Wasn't exactly a graceful install, but I got it done in a few hours!

I wasn't able to get the provided springs seats (flat plastic piece) in with the AAL... is this going to cause any problems down the road?

I also had to remove the factory springs seat as well! Once I got that out of the way the install went very smooth! I'm assuming these only install one way? The install instructions are rather vague.... the seem to have done what they were suppose to!

I imagine this is only to avoide squeaking over time!

If they are needed, I'll attempt to get them installed... but for now I'm going to run them without!

I'll have an updated picture when its daylight!

Cheers

Looks good! You may have some squeaking down the road without the pads in between?

Looks Good Man, What Other Lift Do You Have On There? Or Do You Only Have The AAL?

Just have the Fabtech 5.5" block and the Procomp aal's! I think it makes for about 7" of lift!

Thanks for the comments

Im trying to get some info on this too. What made you decide to go with long vs the short aal? I know the longs are a bit tougher to install from my reading.

The long version gives you a better ride while still giving you the capabilities of the short........

.....I'm talking about AAL's

haha, nice...Thats what i was not sure about..alrighty is there a brand better then the others or is a bent piece of steel a bent piece of steel!

Pro Comp seems to be the norm and the most reccomended. I found mine a while back on Ebay, through Fat Bobs Garage I think, for less than $100 shipped if I remember correctly.

I installed the ProComp AAL on my 03 FX4 back in 2007 and only one spring seat was in the box. I haven't had any issues with squeeking so I would just wait and see what happens. My only complaint with the kit was the stamped metal pack clamps that you have to bend. They have shifted a little overtime but it hasn't caused any problems. I achieved a solid 2 inches of lift on mine.
