6+3 enough to clear 38's with no rubbing??
 

so my 6" fabtech will be here in like jsut over a week like ive said in anoither tread and it will be added to my 3" PA body lift and i want to go with 38's but i dont want any rubbing will that be enough lift or should i also put an add a leaf in the rear and get some leveling keys so i have about 11" of lift in total? i want to run 38 x 13.50 or 14.50 x 16 cause i have a set of eagle alloy 187's 16 x 10 sitting at work so im gonna use those the truck is a 2001 f150 supercab short box offroad 4x4

i think you will rub with 6+3

I'm running 38x14.5 on those same exact wheels for the same year truck. I only rub at full lock on the tie rod ends, so U-turns suck, but other than that it's fine.

I've got 38x15.50's but I also have some thread pattern adapters so my wheels stick out about 1.25" past the normal spot.

I have no rubbing either way at full lock but if I'm turning and hit a bump I will rub at the back of the fender.

Oh and you will have to trim your lower valance in the front. No biggie.

Yep, they will fit. As you can see we have members running up to 38x15.50's with 9 inches of lift.

Me too - 6+3 lift combo, 38x14.50x16 on a 16x10 wheel. I cranked up the T-bars so it would sit level before I installed the lift kits. Then I added the AAL in the back. It does sit about 1 inch higher in the back now after the AAL install but I like it. Only rubs at a full lock. Slight trimming to the side of the lower valance and you're good to go.

Don't forget to cut off the little 'tabs' on the front part of the lower control arm if you go with a 14.50 or wider tire so it doesn't rub the inner sidewall of the tire at a sharper turn and ruin it.

thanks for the help guys i was just hoping i wouldnt have to cut the valance but i guess its gonna have to happen
