frame horns exposed after body lift, cosmetic upgrades?

Was thinking of getting a plate made and welded to front of the frame horns here, then maybe adding a set of driving / fog lights to it. yes, no, maybe?
Any other ideas? Just thinking outloud.

That looks really good IDNC76. I think i want to do that with mine now how much did you have to actually trim and how much is the valence? Are they pain in the a** to install?

This is what I did on my 01. Cut a couple inches off the frame ends. Cut directly in front of where the towhooks mount. Then use your OEM hardware to mount a set of OEM towhooks from a 88-98 GM 4x4 inside the framerails. This way they line up almost perfectly with the cutouts in the valance. I have some pics in my gallary at FTW.

Wandell, thanks for the pm reply. I hadn't looked at the ftw site for pics of what you were describing. Thanks for your picture, wrobo23. Helps tons.

not much mayb an inch or two triangle at the bottom of the frame horn with a cutting wheel then used a grinder to smooth it out for a better fit.
06 2wd valence was $70 from my local dealership. the majority of the holes on the valence lined up with my 05 bumper, with the exception of 2 , but as you can see it fits pretty good. they re not hard to install , just take out the foglights and then its about 10-12 bolts you have to remove

I made a couple of covers for my old truck as shown here. I bent a couple of pieces of metal and used the mounting bolts for the tow hooks to hold them on. Took 30 minutes and about $10 from the local home repair store.

Wow, forgot about this thread. Hadn't done anything to fix it yet, though I see it everyday with my truck. DeereGeff, good work. I could even do that!!!
