Helper Springs or Air Bags???
I'm trying to decide which way to go.
I'm looking at either
1. Extra-Heavy-Duty Leaf Spring Helper, Full Length, 33" Long, 2,000 lbs. Cap. from JCWhitney - Link Here
2. AIR LIFT® REAR RIDE CONTROL LOAD-ASSISTING ADJUSTABLE AIR SPRINGS - Link Here
I have a 2003 F-150 extended cab, 4x4, 5.4L, with a gooseneck hitch in the back for pulling a flatbed trailer or a gooseneck cattle trailer.
What's everyone's opinion on these? The help springs is a LOT cheaper, but with the air bags, I'm worried about them blowing out if too much of a load on them. Your thoughts.
Thanks
Tim

I'll tell ya this... I had about 3K in the bed last weekend and I was worried about popping a bag.
I'm guessing you probabaly don't get that much right over the axle when you tow your trailer, but I guess it all depends what your doing.
If you tow HEAVY a lot. I'd get the leaf springs. If not get the bags so your ride isn't bad when your empty.

Try hellwigs helpers
http://www.hellwigproducts.com/produ...oad_pro_series
I only have 1500 lb pair for my 07 2wd and can pull a 3000 lb trailer with no sagging.
These are way better than what I have.

If it was me i would go with this kit:
http://www.suicidedoors.com/load-and...ad-lifter-5000
i have a bagged truck and i run 200-250 psi in my bags and they have
not poped once and you in your truck would only be runing about 100psi
at the most. so you should have no problem with them poping. The kit in
the link i sent you should be fine for you application and it is not those cheap
sleeve bags and also suicidedoors is a great company and if you have any
question they will be more than happy to answer them!
hope this helps!
