Loud bang from front of truck

Every so often when I hit a decent size bump or a pothole or something like that, I get a loud bang that comes from the front of the truck. I can even feel it a little too. I am suspect of upper ball joints but I'm not sure. There's 90,000km on the truck, I've already had the lower ball joints replaced at the dealer, and the shocks are brand new. It did this before I replaced the shocks, too. Ideas?

Do you have your torsion bars cranked? I see you an 03... not sure if this could be the problem, but I have a level kit on my '08 and when I go over a bump too fast, the front suspension will drop down too fast and the control arm hits the coil spring.... I don't know if this could happen with an '03 with the torsion bars cranked.. but that would be my first guess.

i was hearing a loud bang/clunk noise from my front end, i thought it was the shocks going out. i took off the wheel and found what should look like this

looked like this

the studs for the links like to rust and shear off.

My 05 made a similar noise and the sway bar brushing had disappeared, the sway bar was banging against the LCA.

right on guys, thanks for the replies. i'll have a closer look behind the wheels today and let you know what i find. my torsion bars are stock, not cranked. i was thinking about ordering new MOOG sway bar end links anyway even though i don't think mine are broken, just because i know they're a common failure on our trucks.
