35 inch tires with a 3inch suspension lift? enough?

I was wondering, as of now I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my 2006 ford f-150 2wd and was thinking if a 3 inch suspension lift would allow 35 inch tires to be installed. Can I get some help?

im not gonna give you the whole lecture on how 3" leveling kit is bad.

but to your question, yes and no. a few have done it and say they fit fine with slight rubbing, but i personally would stick with a 33" tire. a 35 will fill your whole wheel well.

heres a pic of 35's in front of a 2wd screw w/ a 2 1/2" leveling kit

Not what i mean

I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my truck but i was thinking of adding an additional 3inch suspension lift to my truck, so 3 inches on the back and front. Not a 3 inch leveling kit.

thats basically the exact thing you already have on your truck. you cant put 5 1/2" worth of spacers to get the lift. any more lift you need a BL or an actual suspension lift.

im not sure exactly what the skyjacker uses for the front but i think its longer struts instead of a spacer now. but you need a subframe to drop down your LCA's, there is no way you will get everything bolted back together with that set up your looking at.

Right, the 3 inch Skyjacker lift is just a 3 inch longer coilover shock. You cannot combine it with a leveling kit. Your ball joint angles would be too extreme to last, that is if you could even get your front end bolted back together. If you want to run 35's, your best bet is to shop around for a 6 inch Pro Comp Stage 1 suspension lift.

O ok thank you very much, I didnt think pro comp made a 2wd suspension lift is what I saw. I got 35 inch nitto muds and 17 inch v-drive rims in my garage that I won from a fishing tournament and cant wait to get them on.

Pro COmp and Fabtech both make 6 inch suspension lifts for the 04-08 4x2's.

Actually, Pro Comp has some of the most reasonable prices on lifts. The Fabtech is higher.
