I won a new Rancho kit off ebay RS6488 for $750. The lift is out of the original box, but new according to the seller and all parts are there.

He states he has 20+ years installing, but when i gave him my truck information he stated iIwould need a transmission cross member to fit my truck. When you search Ranchos site they only list the primary kit RS6488 as being needed plus shocks.

Is this guy telling me the truth or just feeding me a line. He said I could order it thru him and he would give me a price tomorrow.

Is a transmission brace needed.

I have a 2002 SuperCrew 5.4L, 3.55.

The guy got back to me. He made a mistake and the kit does not need any extra part, but shocks.


He will give me all 4 Rancho RS5000's for $140 or I can purchase some Bilstien for $300 shipped.

What would you do? This vehicle will not see any off roading.
