Question Leveling Kit

Hey everyone,

Im picking up a Readylift 3" leveling kit for my 2007 FX4 Supercrew tonight. What do you think of this kit? Any other feed back or tips would be great.

thanks,

Nickleej

I know a few people with the readylift leveling kit's on and they are pretty good, but most everyone is gone to tell you that the 3 inch is to much for the suspension. Also it will make you front sit higher, which I dont like, but you may.

Wow, thanks guys...Called the parts store and had them order the 2.5" leveling kit. Should everything be on the up and up with the 2.5" kit?

Yea that will be a lot better off on your suspension. You may still end up a little high or close to dead level, but it shouldn't be too noticeable.

I guess it is actually a 2" kit..Is there anything thing else to be cautious of? I was thinking maybe adding mud flaps...is there on better than another?

I believe it will turn out good then, im not sure which mud flaps to go with, I have never really cared for the look of them, but they help save your paint though.

My only problem with the Ready Lift kits is they all seem to be way overpriced. Most of the leveling kits for the 04-08's are almost identical. It's a very simple product and there is no reason to pay $200 for a kit that is identical to the $80 Autospring or other leveling kits. But, I don't know what you are paying for yours, you may be getting a deal.

Readylift says that it will allow for 33" wheels and tires..

Can anyone tell me what this translates into for max size tires on a 20" rim.

thanks.

A 305/55-20 is basically a 33x12.50.
A 285/55-20 is basically a 33x11.50.
